4th of July weekend

Our exciting holiday started on Thursday this year because that was Marks only day off and we wanted to do something special. We loaded our bikes up on our bike rack and drove to Ojai which is around 20 mins away. They have a bike trail that goes from the beach all the way into Ojai. I think if you do it all its close to 16 miles. We packed lots of goodies and water and started 2 miles from the beach. After riding for 4 miles all of a sudden I noticed my back tire was flat. We were both dissapointed because we had forgotten our spare tube and pump and we wanted to continue... Mark had made sure the tires were aired up before we left. While we were headed back a nice couple that had a pump in their bag pumped up my bike and made it possible for me to ride my bike the last mile. While the couple was helping us the lady made a comment to me that has been staying in my mind since. She said that they do this trail at least once a week and everytime they have ether stopped for a break, or stopped because something was wrong with their bike, someone has stopped to help them and she was happy to have a chance to help someone this time. Mark and I have been so blessed by others while we have been away. Whenever something has happened and we needed help, the Lord has always provided what we needed. Even if it was only a mile to our car and it really wouldn't have made a difference, Its the little reminder that we are being watched over and Im so grateful for it!

Shortly after we got home, Cheryl and Anna (Marks mom and sister) came over to celebrate the 4th with us. That night we went out to dinner to a really good tepan-yaki (sp??) place and then Friday morning Mark and Anna went wakeboarding with Uncle Roger and the family. I was really tired and I couldnt get up at 6 in the morning to go. I thought it would be way to cold. They had a blast and got back around 11 and then we went shopping for the good 4th of July sales! After being exhausted from shopping we went to Aunt Tannies for a great barbeque and had a blast watching the girls sing High School Musical songs. Then last but not least we all packed up and went to the their Pharmacy and relaxed for the firework show. They do fireworks at the Junior college in Ventura and that just happened to be right behind their store. It was amazing!!!! It was the best firework show that I think I have ever seen. We were so close. Yes dad they did scare me... and I was holding on to Cheryl the whole time. Kaelyn was scared too until I put her in the car and then she loved them. Enzo was fine being held by Grandma if we were not as close. Mark was able to stop for a few mins and then needed to head back to his area, it was a busy night for him, he hooked 2 drunk drivers. We all had a lot of fun and Im glad we were able to share it with family!
