Well its been awhile since I posted. Its been really hard to get some time in to post when Lucas likes to be held all day :)I thought I would fill in what are family has been up to in the last month or so.
In November right before Thanksgiving Mark was asked by Kaelyns teacher to talk to all the kindergarten classes about his job, and being safe It was really neat to see 125 kids all excited to see him. It seemed like they all had their hands raised to say a comment or had a question to ask him. He had a blast and I hope he has the opportunity to do it again!
Well Lucas is a month old now and to me he doesn't really seem like a newborn anymore. Hes growing way to quick. At his 1 month appt he weighed 9lbs 10oz.(what Mark weighed when he was born)
Lucas has been an ok baby considering he has colic. It breaks my heart every time he cries in pain. Good thing the Dr is trying to get him better. Kaelyn and Enzo love him so much and give him hugs and kisses all day. Kaelyn yesterday said "I wish Lucas was my baby". Enzo is learning everyday how to be more gentle when he tries to help. He loves to shhh the baby while putting his lips to Lucas' face. When he gives the baby the binky and Lucas stops cryin hes proud of himself and yells "Yay I did it"
Last Saturday Marks work put on a Christmas party for all the kids of CHP officers and told us we could bring along any family members and their kids. It was really neat. They had all sorts of things like Fire trucks for the kids to play in, a school bus came, a CHP Motorcycle to sit on, and the CHP Helicopter came and landed right on the parking lot. After lunch they had Santa Claus arrive in the CHP Charger with the Sirens on.It was super cute!! Then he let each kid come and sit on his lap and gave them a gift (which we had given to the office before hand so it really looked like Santa had brought it.) Our kids had to wait awhile before their name was called but their face just lit up when they heard their name.
We have had a lot of fun so far this Christmas and we cant wait for more excitement!! I will try to keep up the posting!!

Looks like you are staying so busy! Christmas programs, parties, and a new baby! Lucas is so adorable! Congrats!
It was fun showing Brady the photos of Mark in his uniform. He asked if he was a bad guy and I had to keep telling him no, he fights the bad guys. Cory's got him hooked on COPS already. :(
I love what you said about Enzo shushing Lucas. Brady does the same thing in the car when Brooke cries. She won't take a pacifier, but he tells her shhhh and if she stops, even for a second, he's so excited and proud of himself. Isn't it easier having a 3-year-old helper than a 2-year-old? Of course, Kaelyn is a girl, maybe more helpful at age 2.
Merry Christmas. We hope you enjoy your time with your family. Cute family pictures by the way!
